Sevilla is a city with an integrated and colorful gay scene. There are some areas frequented more by gay visitors, but everywhere in the city is open-minded and welcoming. This makes the city a popular destination for the gay community.

Probably the most beautiful thing about this Andalucian paradise though is the people themselves. It spurns more than it’s fair share of stunningly cute guys. Sevillianos are naturally down to earth people but with a confidence that’s addictive. They are proud of their roots, of their heritage and of their lovely city.

Sevilla offers a nice selection of accommodations that are specifically attractive for the gays and lesbians. Everything are gay friendly – the hotels, hostels and even apartments and flats. This paradise also takes pride of its lively and explosive gay club scene. The city really comes to life when the sun sets. After a sizzling day, gorgeous guys come out to play.

If you’re in search of Sevilla’s gay nightlife, you certainly won’t head home disappointed by the city’s fantastic night spots. A couple of fun locales that will keep you going through the night include Antigua, a small and reasonably-priced disco-bar, and El Paseo, where you can groove to classic songs of the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s.

For a totally unique experience beginning with cupid there to greet you at the door, Café Isbiliyya is certainly in its own category. A busy music bar all week long, extravagant drag-queen shows electrify the atmosphere on Thursday and Sunday nights.

If you plan to visit the city, it is not a good idea to go in July or August. At the very least it’s 35C by day and often as high as 45C. Seville holds the record for the highest temperature in Europe, at 52ºC (126ºF) in 2004.

Remember, only “Mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun”. It is literally too hot to go out in Sevilla. And one more thing . You should learn some Spanish. Almost no one speaks English and at the very least you will want to say to those gorgeous studs “¡Qué guapo eres! Llevame a tu casa”.
